Creeping Jenny (Lysimachia nummularia) HP
A moist meadow plant, the creeping jenny makes attractive groundcover with its dense mat of shiny green leaves and its vivid yellow cup-shaped flowers. This plant creeps along the ground as its name suggests and prefers a sunny spot with damp fertile soil. Ht < 3in S indefinite. A plant of damp ditches and hedgerows, damp shaded grassy habitats and the shaded margins of rivers and streams. Herbalists use it to treat coughs and slowly healing or festering wounds.
