Sweet Cicely (Myrrhis odorata) HP
A native here in the Peak District, this attractive plant is seen in profusion in upland areas. It is related to cow parsley but the flowerheads are larger and the ferny leaves make it a more attractive garden plant. The whole plant is aromatic and it is an important early food for bees. The leaves are sweet tasting and maybe used in place of some of the sugar in fruit puddings. Ht 2-3ft.
