Wild marjoram or Oregano (Origanum vulgare) HP/BB/BN
A real lovely later flowering wildflower and herb with 12in stems bearing red-budded, pale pink flowers above a ground cover of aromatic leaves. Much sought after by bees and butterflies and can be grown in grass, a border or in a pot. Food of the Sub-angled Wave Moth and very attractive to the Small Copper butterfly especially if Sorrel is grown nearby. For a sunny, well-drained spot for best flavour in any soil. Super for cooking with lamb and beef.
