A more modern variety of the cottage garden favourite the scented viola, this one is noted for its winter hardiness and heat tolerance. It has an abundance of fragrance, bright yellow flowers blushed orange and mauve produced in spring and then intermittently throughout the season. These are held above a mound of dark green oval shaped leaves that spread to give ground cover but not invasive. Ht 20cm S 30-40cm Best grown in part shade or in sun with moist soil and a cooler spot. Trim back in early summer to encourage new growth.
