Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) HP/BB
This ancient herb was dedicated to the goddess Diana, and used medicinally by the Greeks 2,000 years ago. It has a many uses from making Lemon balm tea (said to ease headaches and tension), vinegar flavouring, in fish and cheese dishes and the bees love it too! Green, oval toothed, wrinkled leaves have a strong fragrance of lemons when crushed. Clusters of yellow/white flowers in summer. Ht 3ft S 2ft or more.
