Red Campion (Silene dioica)
Seen growing in many parts of the countryside, it associates with bluebells and white greater stitchwort in our hedgerows giving a stunning display of red, white and bluein May and June. Often red campion will carry on flowering with their deep rose pink flowers borne in clusters on the end of tall stems for most of the summer making it a good border garden plant as well as one for the wild garden. Ht 1-3ft. Will self seed freely.
