Wild Basil (Clinopodium vulgare)
Wild basil is a member of the dead-nettle family characterised by their square stems and flowers which are extremely attractive to bees. The pinkish-purple flowers appear in mid-late summer in clusters with a couple of flowers opening at a time. It is a short to medium height plant with numerous usually unbranched stems forming clumps. The leaves are oval and slightly toothed. Ht and S 20-60cm.
