Fawside Farm Nursery is a small friendly nursery, run by Julie Norfolk, specialising in wildflowers, herbs and hardy cottage garden perennials, including many that are very attractive to bees and butterflies. It is situated at 1,000 feet above sea level in the middle of the Peak District, just south of Buxton and the famous Cat and Fiddle. I aim to produce plants to survive these often harsh conditions of the Great British climate.
I offer a wide range of plants to give interest in your garden throughout most of the year. I adopt an environmentally responsible approach to growing, using an organic, peat-free compost and fertiliser which produce extremely healthy, vigorous plants that have been allowed to grow at their own pace.
Most of the plants I grow are listed on the website, but not all of the plants are available all of the time. This maybe because of the season, or because I have sold out!
